to replace the factory hardware and up-grade to a better fastener. Think of all the stress that the camshafts and valve
springs put on these bolts. We use only the best, 12.9 DIN grade fasteners, you can't get any better, stronger or
tougher fasteners for your Cam Bearing Cap's! Kits come with Extra Long Bolts that sink further into the head for

Main Engine Bearing Cap Side Bolt, Socket Head Screw Kit
This is how and where it all started.....we needed a extra strong, extra rigid,
extra deep fastener to securely hold the Main Bearing Caps in-place. Since the Main Bearing Caps can be considered the
foundation of the engine, and any movement there will effect everything else, these bolts had to be the best. This is
where we turned, to find the 12.9DIN super tough socket head screws, and also the very, very hard and precision machined Heavy
Duty Washers that support, and spread the clamping forces over a wide area. These are the best you can buy, and we even
found that we could deep set the bolts an extra 5-10mm for an additional 75% more thread contact, pull-out strength.

The Ford Modular Engine, Uses a Side Bolt to secure each side of the Main Bearing Caps. This accounts for the incredible
Strength and Durability found in these Blocks. The newer Blocks use odd sized Side Bolts, so OEM Ford or ARP are the only
outlets for replacements. On the older Blocks both Cast Iron and Aluminum,
they used more conventional thread size, so we can offer a great alternative to the OEM replacement bolts set. The Older Teksid
Block and the older Cast Iron (03-04 Cobra) Blocks are listed here. For other blocks, and or ARP hardware, those kits are
listed else ware on this page.

The WAP (Windsor Automotive Plant) and the NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) Blocks were both Ford manufactured
Aluminum Blocks, from 99-04. These both have the same Side Bolts offered in this
kit. The Teksid
Block was a very popular and well made block by a Fiat subsidiary known as Teksid Casting Foundry, in Turin, Italy.
They were used from 93 to 98.
